Title: It's All About The Hair

Summary: Fai has such pretty hair~


He’d never been one for aesthetics, preferring to see past the surface and look at what was beneath. He was observant – what he was couldn’t really dictate him being anything else – and even if he couldn’t see the complete truth of a situation, he could at least see what mattered most.

So it was with slight disconcertion that he couldn’t help but be mesmerised by the blond strands fluttering around the mage's head, the wind tugging on them and causing them to brush against pale cheeks. Some would catch at the corner of his mouth and long fingers would brush it away carelessly, almost as an after-thought. And there was one particular strand that, no matter how often it was pushed back, fell over one blue eye.

His hands itched to move it, to rub the fine hair between the pads of his fingers and feel it slide against his skin. He wanted to let his palms graze over silk and to watch the light catch against blond, to see lips part as he grasped carefully and tilted the mages head back, hair brushing against his arms.

Blue eyes turned to him, pinning him to the spot and as the hand lifted again, he couldn't help but follow the action. The wide grin dropped slightly and he cursed himself for being so obviously fascinated and turning away, finding contemplation in something much less distracting.

Ooh, I like this. I do like that sense of quiet, vaguely unwilling fascination Kuro-tan has here; he's very aware of the fact he wants to touch it, wants to reach out and do something- and just as aware that he probably shouldn't.

This is sweet and short and simple - yet it speaks on its own volume.

I always imagined Kurogane's the type to not seek out for looks first if he was ever thrust in a situation where he had to scout for someone to date. But of course, even he would eventually find something attractive and/or fascinating from Fai. And so it is his hair.

And yet there he goes, instinctively wanting to play with it. Just like how his father would lovingly play wit his mother's hair. <3

Perfect fic to wake up to in the morning haha~

I love the thought of Kurogane watching Fay quietly, and that he pulled back at the last moment. I'm sure Fay caught it and I'd like to think his mind is racing and his heart is thumping lol.

Like zalinxia said, Kurogane's father would play lovingly with Kuro-tan's mother's hair, so I love reading fics that hint at a similar fascination in Kurogane. :)
