Distracted hands pushed carefully at the galley door, positive that it wouldn't creak but just in case Franky had missed it and the noise would alert his cook to his mischief. He adjusted the camera around his neck to stop it from bumping the wood.
He glanced quickly behind him to make sure that Usopp wasn't following him anymore. It wasn't like he'd stolen the camera; he just liked taking random pictures and the flash thingy was blindingly white and he couldn't stop watching the shadows it made. It was even more fun when he caught his nakama by surprise and blinded them with it.
He peered around the door and paused. He blinked several times to make sure he wasn't imagining things and then grinned. He raised the viewfinder to his eye and pressed the little button. The click and whine as it wound on went unnoticed and he laughed behind his hand as he went to find his sniper, any thought of filching food gone from his mind.
He found Usopp ranting to Brook about his camera and somehow spinning it into a tale for Chopper. The little reindeer watched him with sparkles in his eyes.
He bounded up to the other man and laughed. Usopp rounded on him and grabbed him by the neck, screaming about expensive and precious toys. He grinned and leaned into Usopp, whispering in his ear about the picture he'd just taken. The sniper gave him a stunned look, grabbed the camera and went running for his workshop.
The twinkle in Luffy's eyes grew.
~~~
Usopp fidgeted as he waited for the photo to develop. He wasn't entirely sure what he was hoping to do with it but something would present itself. Maybe Nami would buy it off of him.
He pounced on it when the image cleared, grinning in triumph. He held it up to the light and stared at it. His grin slowly disappeared, turning into a soft smile. It was blackmail material alright, but not any he was willing to sell.
He let it dry and pried up the board to his little hidey hole - which Franky had so graciously allowed him to have because the poor cyborg wasn't ready to have a heart attack if Usopp created his own - where particular images were kept out of sight from prying eyes. He replaced the cover and left the little room.
In the darkness, the image of Zoro and Sanji staring at each other in needy relief, Sanji's hands gentle as they touched Zoro's face and Zoro grasping Sanji's jacket, stayed for a long time.
