Pairing: Zoro/Sanji or maybe the other way around
A/N: Enies Lobby conversation resulted in random prompt from Syb. Prompt=Hand holding of the fluffy variety.
It was loud, hot and humid. Clothes stuck to skin and even the shade provided no relief. It didn't seem to be the norm for this island as it was making everyone miserable and irritable. Bodies bumped into each other, snapping at the rudeness and completely intolerable to those standing in the way.
Zoro had been dragged along to play pack horse and had gotten turned around several times. He couldn't really be blamed. All the stalls looked the same and he encountered the same grumpy faces every which way he went.
He found the blond head of the cook again and after some creative cursing, dragged him between two vendors, just out of the way so they wouldn't be stomped on. His bored gaze watched the sluggish crush move past them, planning a half-hearted attack to get through it.
His left hand was grasped. He turned wide eyes to the cook and then stared down at their intertwined hands.
There were no sparks of electricity dancing between their skin, no rumbling sounds of thunder on the horizon, no pretty fireworks. What there was, was warm flesh; fingers threading together, calloused palms pressing gently against another and scars meshing with each other. Small hairs tickled roughened fingertips and a thumb caressed the back of a tanned hand.
An increase in the noise around them and the opportunity of distraction was seized on. Zoro dipped his head as he brought their joined hands up, placing a quick kiss on the inside of Sanji's wrist. A glance at the crowd and he dropped their hands to where they couldn't be seen.
Sanji stepped a little closer and tightened his fingers, securing his grip, before moving them further into the melee to finish the shopping.
