Rain pelted down, stinging his skin and turning it red. Lightning forked through the sky and licked at the sea. His fingers wound around the thick rope of the rigging and he anchored his feet a little tighter. A good thing too, as the next gust of wind tried its hardest to knock him to the deck. It ripped at his shirt and tie and tore away his drenched cigarette. He followed the movement of the little white stick as it disappeared into oblivion. It was ruined anyway.
He gazed at the ocean and smirked as waves attempted to crash onto the ship. Oh so close but they'd never reach him. His smile dropped when he remembered why he was there in the first place.
The gentle lull of the ship had turned into fierce rocking and he'd panicked. He nearly hadn't made it out of the room and he really hadn't wanted to wake everyone else. When he'd scrambled onto the deck, the size of the waves had nearly given him a heart attack. He'd sprinted into the rigging and held on tight.
His breathing sped up and he forced his nightmares back. Would he ever be over this? Would he at least be able to sleep during a storm? As long as no one found out about his problem, everything would be fine. Which was why he'd kicked Usopp off watch and said he'd take it. There hadn’t been any argument.
The wind shifted the rigging again and his hands clenched.
"-ok? Oi, co-!"
A shout lost to the storm. Sanji frowned and looked down. The green behemoth was climbing up to him. What the hell? Every step he took was shaking the ropes and Sanji wanted to kick him. His shoes slipped a little and he changed his mind. Hanging on was good.
Zoro drew level with him, feet splayed outside of his and Sanji nearly lost it when his foot was nudged across. He opened his mouth to tell him to fuck off when the moron leaned into him, hands grasping the rope above his head.
The driving rain was buffeted by Zoro's body and Sanji was able to stare into his eyes. If he wasn't so worried about falling into the sea and drowning because no one was there to save him, this would have been a great romantic setting. He blinked. What the fuck?
His brain snapped and he let loose. "
Zoro pressed against him, and he almost swallowed his tongue when hardened nipples rubbed his chest through the wet cotton. His eye widened and he prepared to scream multiple obscenities... until he took note of which parts of Zoro's body were touching his.
The man had too much muscle and heat and Sanji swore to himself that if there was a Marimo-erection even close to him, he really would kick the asshole. Even if it meant going overboard… or he would have if Zoro hadn't chosen that moment to lick his neck.
Sanji froze.
The wayward tongue licked up his jaw and around his ear. He flinched as teeth bit down on his lobe and he tilted his head to the side, giving better access to the mouth trying to devour him. There was heavy breathing in his ear and his lower body strained for more contact, pushing into Zoro's. He was forced back, the ropes digging into his skin and a guttural moan vibrated through his limbs.
His head jerked back and his knees nearly gave out as teeth scraped his throat. The eyes boring into his were trying to burn him and there was no way he was going to let that happen. He dropped his gaze and focussed on the rain falling from Zoro's parted mouth and if he moved forward just a little, he'd be able to touch his own to them. He licked his bottom lip and watched, fascinated, as they seemed to get closer.
He glanced back up and started. Darkened eyes stared at him. He could feel the pulse of their bodies where they were plastered together and if there was just... a little… less...
His eyes crossed when Zoro leaned in and kissed the end of his nose.
"Wha...?"
His body got a final rub and his already over-sensitised skin screamed at the friction from his clothes. He continued to gape, dumbfounded, as Zoro backed off and made his way down to the deck. Before the booted feet touched down, he saw Zoro pause and he swore he heard the marimo say that he'd save him.
Those eyes turned up to him again and he blinked, not entirely comprehending the situation. Zoro walked off and he was in the middle of wondering what the fuck, when the wind took the opportunity to try and send him flying.
He tightened his hold and looked on as lightning lit up the horizon, followed quickly by the rumble of thunder. He shivered, and he was pretty sure it wasn’t from fear.
Maybe storms weren’t all bad.
