“Aniki.”

 

Something poked his cheek and his hand lashed out, connecting with a probable nose. There was a yelp in his ear. Yep, it was a nose. He cracked his eyelids and made a face at the blond hair in his vision.

 

Wait… that was the wrong colour blond. His eyes popped open and Yosaku, hands covering his face, un-blurred.

 

“Huh. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Luffy let you on the ship but when did you get to the Grand Line?”

 

His friends stared at him and Zoro swore they looked…sad. “What?”

 

They turned to each other and had a silent conversation. They only did that when they were uncertain and reluctant to speak.

 

Apparently Johnny lost and he twitched as his eyes met Zoro’s. “Aniki… Zoro…” Zoro frowned. They never said his name like that. “There is no ship.”

 

Zoro stared. “What the hell are you talking about?”

 

Blinding light poured into the room as Yosaku drew the curtains apart and Zoro stilled as he took in the skyline.

 

Yosaku looked at him closely. “We’re in Tokyo. Remember?”

 

“What?” Zoro shook his head and stilled when long hair fell over his face.

 

“Aniki?” Johnny reached out and at the touch of a hand on his skin, Zoro flinched away.

 

“Ahh… Sorry. No. It’s fine. I’m good. Just need to wake up. Weird dreams and all.”

 

He could feel two sets of concerned eyes on him as he made his way out the door. He stumbled into an unfamiliar bathroom and stared at his reflection.

 

His feet knew this place: the layout, the floor under his bare feet, the grooves in the wall where his fingers touched.

 

Maybe it really was a dream and maybe he really was imagining the taste of nicotine on his lips.

Hopefully there is a smoking chef somewhere that dreams of a lazy but ambitious green-haired swordsman somewhere in that world...

How do you know? are they piuctures? (though really, almost anything would be an improvement. I mean, I like the guy, but he's not exactly pretty...)

Mmhh, wonder what would happen if they were to meet... would they recognize each other? that would make rather awkward conversation... I mean, imagine your average chef suddenly feeling the irresistible urge to kick somebody in the head for no other reason that he looked his way. Bonus points if he realizes that the urge to kick him is almost as hard as the one to kiss him, despite never really having seen him before... *feeds cappuccino toffee to the bunnies* go bunnies, go!!

...gonna have to fish that episode out of my archives... I can't remember!!

But I can tell you this much; meeting a person you one had dreamed of and never met before, is really weird and Dejavú-kind. It's freaking weird!!

True, he would... Ussop would turn those dreams into tales to tell the small kids in the neighbourhood, Nami might actually find a way to profit from them, and Sanji would be confused as to why he can think of recipes for food that doesn't even exist... and why he can't bring himself to cook venison. XD

...well, I've dreamed of people I hadn't seen in a while and then met them again a few days later... so yes, I know it can be freaking weird. ^^U
