Topic: Make Up

Words: 343 – I tried to cut, I really did. I just couldn’t do it.

Sanji stared at the little weatherboard house and wondered just who the hell would willingly escort the marimo somewhere that wasn’t dark and dingy. A female voice drifted from the open shutters and Sanji’s blood pressure raised a notch. If that idiot said something stupid…er than usual, he was going to kick some serious ass.

 

He drew a final drag of his cigarette and ground it out under his heel. A firm knock on the faded door yielded to a small child covered in mud and a finger up its nose. Sanji was reminded of his captain, which probably wasn’t a good thing as he was already searching for one moronic idiot.

 

Sanji blinked and he found himself left alone on the threshold, door wide open and chaotic sounds drifting to his ears. It felt a little rude but… He shrugged and stepped through, not sure of what to expect but it wasn’t the empty room that greeted him.

 

Thumping and squeals echoed down the narrow hallway and Sanji soon found his feet moving, drawn to the sounds of a happy family. He approached an open door near the back of the house and he found himself staring at the back of a moss coloured head. Two little girls were jumping around, brushes and tubes of colour clutched in their hands.

 

“Mr Zoro, Mr Zoro can I…” The voice trailed off and Sanji watched as a little mouth opened. The child stared at him in what he hoped was awe of his presence but he seriously doubted it.

 

Little feet trampled the floor as a rounded body rushed his and chubby little arms wrapped around his knees. “Mister, mister…” Sanji had a bad feeling. “…can I dress you up pretty too?”

 

Any response he had was caught in his throat as the great cabbage turned towards him. His eye widened and his mouth twitched. “Blue suits you, shit-head.”

 

The swordsman glared at him and the tic under the thick eye shadow bounced erratically. “Shut up asshole…and don’t swear in front of the kids.”

"Don't swear in front of the kids." Haha, indeed. As if they don't already have odd hobbies, such as dressing manly men up, let's not add swearing to the mix.

But it's Zoro logic, so maybe it doesn't count as one of the 'bad' swears. Although what consists of a 'bad' swear in Zoro's mind, I do not know.
