Title: Smell You

Pairing: Doumeki/Watanuki

Summary: Fate decrees the best things.

Watanuki liked to yell and Shizuka had no problems with it. He just stuck his fingers in his ears and rode it out. But there were times – quite a few of them actually – when Watanuki didn’t think about where he was flailing and the space he took up doing it.

 

On occasion, when the other boy moved just a little too close, Shizuka had to plug his ears a little harder, just so he didn’t move his hands and take Watanuki into his arms.

 

It was those times that he could smell the essence of Watanuki, clear cut and potent. The intermingling scents of his kitchen, the witches shop incense and something else, just beneath the surface, something he was still searching to name but something that was just Watanuki. It was addictive and he could swear that he had the scent of it in his past somewhere but for the life of him, he couldn’t remember.

 

Shizuka secretly hoped, that one day, Watanuki would completely forget himself and go careening into the closest body to his and seeing as it was himself that was always by the others side, it would be him. On that day, Shizuka would take Watanuki to the ground and keep him there, pinned, breathless and embarrassed enough not to try ranting because it was then, that Shizuka would allow himself to follow through with his thoughts and keep Watanuki bound to him, just as hitsuzen dictated.

I honestly wonder if he'll ever get it and if he does, will his answer be speechlessness or will he drive himself into a full fledged rant about the idiotness that surrounds him.

I'm surprised Watanuki hasn't flailed himself into somebody around him. You'd think it would happen with all that wild movement he does.

For someone so...energetic, he does actually seem to have some kind of coordination. Wouldn't it be nice if the flailing into Doumeki was planned and he let himself do it.

Perhaps Watanuki has something like "bat sense" and can tell when he's flailing too close to something -- like a person or a wall. Ooo, that'd be extremely nice. XD But then Doumeki would ruin the possible sexxorz romantic moment by calling Watanuki an idiot. Ahh, Doumeki. How we love you.
