Title: From beginning to end

A/N: Watching the credits (the one with Bon Voyage) and I came to a realization about everyone.


 

On the surface, what binds us together are our dreams, our desires, our need to see an end to what we’ve always been searching for.

 

It’s what lies underneath, what none of us ever talks about because in the grand scheme of everything, it didn’t change us. But it did help us to understand each other, just that little more than outsiders possibly could.

 

Our past.

 

Robin always says that history molds us, helps us make our decisions for the future. It makes us who we are and creates the path that we take, unconscious or not. You can’t disagree with such rational thinking.

 

At some point in each of our lives we’ve been dealt some really bad blows, most noticeably, the loss of loved ones. We’ve all had to overcome the obstacles of surviving because the inside of our hearts is the loneliest place.

 

Trust, respect, friendship, family, love.

 

You gain one and you search for the rest. It’s knowing that the people you’ve found, the hands that you have placed your life into, will come for you; in dreams, in life, along the path to your end. They’ll be there to pick you up and dust you off – or wring you out – and push you that little bit further and you’ll push back, urging everyone to step stronger.

 

Our histories made us; our future will make the world.
