“Usopp, what the hell are you doing?”

 

Shoulders hunched further over filled test tubes.

 

“Nothing! Really.”

 

Disbelief radiated and the lie sounded bad, even to him.

 

“Usopp.”

 

It wasn’t pity but there was an underlying sadness.

 

“I just can’t sit by. They took him from me.”

 

Eyes bored into the top of his head and an understanding sigh reached his ears.

 

“Can I do anything to help?”

 

He wanted to smile, so very badly.

 

“No thank you, Zoro.”

 

He gently touched the tubes of glass and felt a thin slice of anger creeping upon his soul.

 

“It’s enough. This here will obliterate everything. Just stand back and watch them burn.”
