A/N: I got nothin’… except maybe something a little inspiring à Demon? I believe it.
In the early hours of dawn, it walked softly, its nails clicking on the hard wood floor.
It passed the crew members; the perpetual cold it carried causing them to huddle deeper into their blankets. It paused briefly at the sleeping captain before the murmurs of ‘meat’ moved it along.
It stepped up beside the sleeping swordsman, not at all surprised that its presence went unnoticed, for it was certainly not a part of this world. The cool air surrounding the man chilled and he groped for his blanket, finally crossing his arms to find warmth.
Its wings flared, casting ominous shadows on the wall. A long claw reached out to the exposed throat.
The green haired man shifted and his low voice carried in the quiet room. “Shit cook.”
A soft response came from the bunk next to him. “Shittier marimo.”
It stared at both figures in contemplative silence. It made its decision and retracted its claw, then faded out of the room, leaving nothing but shivering bodies.
It was patient. It could wait a little longer for its apprentice.
