All eyes stared as the cook fell to his knees and clasped a hand to his heart. Admittedly that wasn’t anything new but…

 

Zoro stared in horror at the man prostrating before him and wondered just when the fuck the world had turned on its head.

 

“My darling marimo~ Love me and become my wi-”

 

A hand was slapped over the idiot’s mouth.

 

Zoro stared imploringly at the rest of the crew. “Anyone? PLEASE!?”

 

Lips twitched and smothered snorts wafted around the deck. Franky pounded him on the back and congratulated him, spurring everyone else on to do the same.

 

As he continued to stare down at his…what the hell was he?... adoring eyes gazed up at him and he swore he saw a slightly wicked smirk promising something he was pretty sure he didn’t want to know anything about.

Rule number one of humiliation applied to anime and manga: no matter how fast you are, you will never be quick enough to stop That Moron from saying that ridiculously embarrassing thing he is about to say. This is particularly true when the ones listening are sure to use the knowledge of the thing that he has just said against you in the most humiliating ways possible. All in the name of good fun, of course.

Poor, poor Zoro. And sneaky Sanji. XD

(but seriously, considering how embarrassingly Sanji behaves towards the objects of his fancy, fics where he behaves that way towards Zoro are surprisingly rare. So far, I've only read two... and I strongly suspect he was only faking in this one)
