“What does it look like, idiot?”

 

“If I didn’t know any better, I’d say a key.”

 

“You’re a smart one, boy. I don’t like it but there’s nothing else I can do.”

 

“What are you talking about, old fart?”

 

“I received a call from a ranking officer, somewhere out near Mariejois. Everyone is starting to move and they’re calling for your head.”

 

“But… then what?”

 

“I’m putting you under undisclosed protective custody, with someone I trust. Someone I know you’ll do the right thing for.”

 

“Jiji…”

 

“I’m giving you your freedom, boy. Don’t waste it.”

 

“I won’t.”

 

“And, Ace?”

 

“Yeah?”

 

“Help him loosen up a little would you. He’s such a stuffed shirt sometimes.”
